Indian Classical Music Concert

Shanti Mandir invites you to a Sarod concert by Anirban Dasgupta. The concert will be followed by authentic Indian snacks and refreshment.

This concert is organized to give the community a special opportunity to listen to live Indian classical music in a traditional setting.

Indian classical music is meditative and healing in nature as it has its roots in the ancient tradition of yoga. Anirban Dasgpta, the Sarod player, grew up with the very ambience of Indian classical music, and took to playing the Sarod from an early age. He is well known today for delicate mastery of Sarod and great facility in its techniques. He has performed widely in India as well as abroad. He will be accompanied on Tabla by Suryaksha Deshpande, who has been performing around the world for over a decade and has captured audiences with his clarity, speed, and precision along with his dazzling virtuosity and knowledge.
