Violin Concert

Shanti Mandir invites you to a violin concert by Indradeep Ghosh.

This concert is organized to give the community a special opportunity to listen to live Indian classical music in a traditional setting.

Indian classical music is meditative and healing in its nature as it has its roots in the ancient tradition of yoga. Indradeep Ghosh, one of the most talented young violinists of India, was initiated in the art of playing violin at the tender age of six. Among other teachers, he has also studied under Pt. V.G. Jog and Pt. Kumar Bose. Apart from Indian Classical Music, Indradeep has the fondness toward the Western Classical Music too. His performance is naturally sweet, soothing, fascinating yet thrilling and is full of creative intelligence, excellent bowing technique and melody. He will be accompanied on Tabla by Shri Gourishankar.
